More Than a Game Basketball Clinics. Celebrate Multi-Culturalism and the Connective Power of Sport! The City of Victoria is proud to offer, two FREE More Than a Game Basketball Clinics, designed to celebrate multi-culturalism and the unifying power of sports. More Than a Game Basketball Clinics are part of the BC Black History Awareness Society’s celebration of Canada Multiculturalism Day, with support from the Government of Canada. The Clinics go beyond basketball to emphasize the importance of community, diversity and connection through sport. Led by the talented team at Eli Pasquale Sports, players will not only enhance their basketball skills but also gain insights into the values of teamwork, respect and cultural appreciation. The clinics will feature motivational speeches by local multi-cultural champions who have made significant contributions to the Greater Victoria community. These speakers will inspire participants with their stories of overcoming challenges, achieving excellence and the importance of giving back. The event is organized by Barbara Hudlin, niece of the renowned Doug Hudlin. Barbara continues her family’s legacy, honoring her uncle’s commitment to community building through sport. Doug was a prominent figure known for his dedication to fostering unity and promoting the positive impact of sports within the community. Barbara carries Doug’s passion for sports, community and youth empowerment. Join us for this enriching experience that promises to be more than just a game!
