Learn what you need to know to start a boulevard garden on this walking tour of different types of boulevard gardens at the peak of the growing season. You will also learn about the boulevard gardening guidelines which outline the safety, accessibility, maintenance, and aesthetic elements that should be considered and also the legal responsibilities of managing a specific area of the boulevard. They also provide helpful tips, including how to prepare your boulevard for planting, work around boulevard trees, and design your boulevard garden to maximize year-round interest and beauty. The walking tour will be led by Mike Large, who will share his boulevard gardening experience . Mike is a local lawyer, boulevard gardener, lead author of the guidelines, and blogger at www.streetgreens.com.
